Ron Tomson Shopify / CommerceHub / Macy's EDI Integration
For Macy’s drop-ship and direct-to-consumer orders, Ron Tomson chose Dscopify as the solution to integrate its Shopify store with CommerceHub’s OrderStream platform.
The integration uses Dscopify’s EDI capability and features to have fully automated flows between Shopify and CommerceHub OrderStream. With Dscopify, all the processes related to inventory, orders, shipments, cancellations and invoices are covered.
The EDI requirements for Macy’s are based on the X12 EDI standards (version 4010). Macy’s uses CommerceHub as their EDI partner to connect with suppliers. To integrate with CommerceHub, the Macy’s account has to be an “integrated” one and configured to use EDI and SFTP.
As part of the CommerceHub/Shopify EDI integration, the following activities have been covered:
EDI Setup & Configuration – for Test & Production
Compliance as per Macy’s EDI requirements
EDI 846 – Inventory – from Shopify to CommerceHub and taking into consideration Macy’s selection
EDI 850 – Orders – from CommerceHub to Shopify with all details necessary for fulfillment
EDI 997 – Orders Acknowledgement once orders are transferred to Shopify
EDI 856 – Order Shipments and Cancellations – from Shopify to CommerceHub
EDI 810 – Invoice – upon successful completion of orders
On-going support to Ron Tomson
