Our solution integrates your Shopify store with your Etsy store, enabling fully automated synchronization of inventory levels and order processing between the two platforms. However, catalog synchronization (product creation and updates) is deliberately excluded, allowing you to retain full control over your product listings.
Excluding catalog synchronization gives you the flexibility to manage your product listings on both platforms independently. This means you can tailor your products, listings and variations specifically for each marketplace without worrying inventory synchronization. However, product creation can be enabled on-demand.
Inventory synchronization ensures that your offers (stock levels and pricing) are always up-to-date on Etsy by using your Shopify stock quantities and prices. Through our solution, we can configure your connection to use total inventory, limit inventory from specific warehouse location(s), adjust quantities to avoid overselling, or implement custom rules as per your business needs. Likewise, the pricing of the offers can be configured using existing prices you have in Shopify or as per your custom rules.
Orders placed on either Etsy are automatically transferred to Shopify. This allows you to manage all your orders centrally on Shopify’s side, leveraging on any connection you may already have (e.g. with your 3PL, fulfillment centers, internal ERP or OMS systems, partner accounting systems etc.). This allows streamlining your fulfillment process and saving you time. Once orders are processed in Shopify (fulfilled or canceled), the solution will update the order in Etsy with the right status and tracking information.
By default, our solution does not sync product descriptions, or images between Shopify and Etsy. You have complete control over your catalog, allowing you to customize your listings to best suit each marketplace. However, if such flows are necessary, it can be enabled as per your requirement.
Yes, you can select which products you'd like to sync for inventory. This is achieved by simply applying a product tag in Shopify. This gives you further control over how your products are managed across both platforms.
The synchronization is designed to ensure that your inventory levels and orders are updated promptly to reflect any changes, while respecting the API Rate Limits that Etsy imposes for each account.
By default, we use the Variant SKU field in Shopify to match with the SKU in Etsy. However, if you are using different product references between these two systems, we will adapt your setup accordingly to ensure all works seamlessly.
